	Travel by car to The Hautes Pyrenees, excellent national and motorway (autoroute) connections throughout France. Always ensure you have some change available to pay motorway tolls. Car hire at all airports and ferry ports and most major towns, this is generally better value if booked in advance. Hertz, Budget, Avis and Europcar are all to be recommended. 	Travel to the Hautes Pyrenees by rail. Throughout France there is an extensive rail network with high speed trains TGV (Tren Grande Vitesse) and the more local networks - Visit SNCF homepage. There are good local bus services and an international bus service is provided by Eurolines at competitve prices
	To travel to the Hautes Pyrenees by ferry you have a choice of using the northern ferry routes from UK and Ireland to mainland France. Services provided by Brittany Ferries and Irish Ferries. There are two ferry services direct to Northern Spain from the UK -Plymouth to Santander provided by Brittany Ferries and Portsmouth to Bilbao with P & O Ferries.
